The majority of patients who require routine surgery are seen on an out-patient basis, which means they are admitted to our hospital and discharged on the same day.
If your pet is very unwell or recovering from complicated surgery they will be admitted to our hospital for an overnight stay. As we are a 24 hour emergency clinic, a veterinary surgeon or veterinary nurse is on the premises 24 hours a day to care for any hospitalised animals and ensure that they are getting the appropriate medical and nursing care. To make our patients stay with us as stress free and comfortable as possible we have separate dog and cat wards which are air conditioned.
Outside our normal opening hours, for security reasons, and to ensure the safety of our team, our front door will be locked. It is essential that even in an emergency you call us beforehand to let us know you are coming. This will allow us to prepare for your arrival as effectively as possible and can be crucial if, for example, parking arrangements need to be made to facilitate transfer of a collapsed animal.
