Emergency Service - 24 Hour
We operate our own 24 hour emergency service, staffed by our vets and night nurses at our hospital in Clerkenwell.
If your pet has a medical emergency, out of our normal opening hours, please call 020 7017 8950. You will then get through to one of the clinical staff who can discuss your pets problem and advise you. If an emergency consultation is required, our 'on call' vet will be asked to come to the hospital to meet you at the arranged time. If you are unsure as to whether you need to speak to a member of staff, use our interactive symptom checker here. All our veterinary surgeons dealing with out of hours cases have full access to the hospital facilities and patient notes of our client base.
Qualified veterinary nurses monitor inpatients throughout the night and a patient's care plan is reviewed regularly by the veterinary surgeon on duty. The individual needs of each patient admitted is assessed and met as required.
Your cat will be kept in our quiet and spacious feline kennels, with comfortable bedding and access to fresh food and water (as appropriate). We also use cat pheromone diffusers such as Pet Remedy or Feliway, which is proven to help reduce stress in feline patients.
Your dog will be given access to spacious comfortable kennels with access to food and water (as appropriate), larger dogs can use our 'walk in' kennels with heated floor. Canine patients are regularly taken outside, if they are mobile, to relieve themselves and improve their mood.
For security reasons and to ensure the safety of our team, our front door will be locked outside our normal opening hours. It is essential that even in an emergency you call us beforehand to let us know you are coming. This will allow us to prepare for your arrival as effectively as possible and can be crucial if, for example, parking arrangements need to be made to facilitate transfer of a collapsed animal.
